Each Friday we bring you a list of 5 things to do/see/try while you’re staying on our magical island, and this Friday is no different. So far, we’ve been through 5 things to do in Supetar, Selca & Nerežišća, and now, it’s time for Milna! This lovely municipality on the west part of the island consists of 4 villages – Bobovišća, Bobovišća na moru, Ložišća and of course Milna.

So, here’s our list of 5 things to do in Milna!

#1 Help people of Brač win the bride!

It’s a centuries-long dispute among two islands – Brač and Šolta, about the third small island, not bigger than a regular house. Mrduja is its name and it is situated just in between these two islands creating arguments about to which it belongs. So, the fishermen had an idea – why don’t we just try to pull it and see who wins!

#2 Become a homemaker!

There’s an eco-village in the making, just a little above Milna, where you can learn, in a very short period of time, how to build your own little eco-friendly home!  Contact Gea Viva for more information about creating your dream home!

#3 Find out what “mille navi” means.

No cheating, don’t use Google.

#4 Try pronouncing Bobovišća and Ložišća very fast!

Or perhaps Nerežišća and Pučišća. Or Dračevica. Yes, we really made it difficult for you. Sooorry!

#5 Learn a joke about the locals. And spread it around.

People from Brač are known for their stinginess, at least according to the numerous jokes that go around. The truth is – we are very penny-wise due to the poor conditions in which our ancestors had to survive. However, we do have a great sense of humor so we also like to joke at our own expense.
