The Telegram, British magazine, has been writing a series of articles about the gastronomy of the most popular European destinations, and this time, Croatia got the spot, in the article titled 10 dishes you cannot leave Croatia without trying.

At number 9, one special dish and one special konoba from Brač, found their place. Here’s what the British had to say about roast lamb from konoba Kopačina!

What makes it great

Janjetina (lamb) roast whole on a spit is a favorite throughout the countries of former-Yugoslavia. As you travel around Croatia, you’ll see roadside restaurants with whole lamb cooking outside.

Where to try it

The islands of Brač, Cres and Pag are known for their excellent lamb. Some of the best places to eat simple roast lamb include Konoba Kopačina in Donji Humac on Brač, and Konoba Bukaleta in Loznati on Cres. For more refined lamb-based dishes on Pag, try the sophisticated hotel-restaurant Boškinac in Novalja.

Congratulations to the team behind Konoba Kopačina, who value quality more than anything. We knew they were great, it’s time for whole the world to know as well! #bestofbrac
