Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics, in case you’re not a marathon swimmer. 😉

BY AIR ///

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island, just above Bol. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. Island has a direct connection with Austria, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovenia and of course – the capital of Croatia.

These are the cities confirmed to be connected with Brač in the summer of 2018: Beč, Lienz, Graz, Innsbruck, Bruxelles, Rotterdam, Deauville, Luxemburg, Bern, Ljubljana, Salerno, Bari. We’ll update the list as new news come out!

If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Rent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!

The closest international airports to Brač are the ones in Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik, with many low cost companies flying there. There are regular bus lines between the airports and city centers, and from there, you can continue to Brač by ferry, catamaran or private taxi boats.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines and one catamaran line connecting Brač with the land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines (catamarans), and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Excursions for transfers!

Once you arrived to the island, there are couple of ways to get around. One is to hop on a local bus which connects the entire island with lines that are more frequent during summer. If you’re traveling with your bicycle, don’t worry – they have bike carriers on board, free of charge! Also, booking your ticket online can save you 5%.

Also, you may rent quads, bikes or something else, just take a look at our renting section!

If you prefer some eco friendly means of transport, just hop on your bicycle and enjoy 1023 kilometers of bike lanes around the island!
