Perched on top of the Petrovac hill, overlooking the beautiful bay, the island of Hvar and nearby mainland, Villa Sage was originally built by the noble Didolić family with the purpose to serve as a place for the gentry to relax and unwind. It was therefore our intention to bring it back to life and restore its original purpose – to offer escape, relaxation and pure joy to our guests in a beautiful setting. Our recent restoration efforts have included a refurbished roof and an added bathroom with a panoramic roof in the back. The interior design of house is unique in that it combines some very modern elements while respecting and celebrating the villa’s original build and materials. The garden offers a spectacular view and features an intimate pool and a spacious lounge area. Additionally, there is a relaxing day room on the ground floor of the villa. The house features a loft bedroom area with a double bed and a view of the bay and the sea. Included in the price is a lavish daily breakfast at the restaurant Park Petrovac, close by. Which is also where our guests are treated to a complimentary dinner of their choice. Also available to our guests is a complimentary tasting of homemade products, such as olive oil, wine, cheese, dried figs and much more. Included in the price is a walking tour of historic sites with a guide, including the impressive stone church in the centre of the town. Mere 2km away, near the town of Sumartin, you can find many beautiful pebble beaches. And another 25 minute drive is the famous Zlatni rat beach in Bol. In Sumartin you can rent a boat, scooter, quad and bicycles. The airport is 16km away from the villa. All the main island attractions are within an hour’s drive and can be visited independently or with a local guide. I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!
Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.
BY SEA ///
There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.
First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.
Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!
BY AIR ///
Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač Deluxe, Rent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!
Once you’re on the island, rent a car, use taxis or local transportation. For online booking with discount, click here.
All the emergency numbers you might need but we hope you won’t!
