Take a walk from Supetar, only 30 minutes long, to Mirca, a charming village of olive growers and farmers. This interesting place is divided into two parts, so you may become confused when approaching the village entrance and seeing signs showing you two opposite directions. But, don’t worry – by the sea is a modern part of the village, with beach bars and cute beaches. Up in the hill is the old, traditional part of the village, with beautiful rural architecture, characteristic for small Dalmatian villages. While you’re here, don’t miss out on viewing the altarpiece of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows made by a self-taught painter Felix Tironi. There’s also an interesting exhibition taking place each summer in Mirca for the past 18 years, so stop by and enjoy the art! And food, of course, cause no event is complete without some local dishes, music and wine.
