Art film days „ LOVELY DAYS “

Art film days „ Lovely Days “, organized fifth year in a row, takes place in Bol, from 16th to the 20th of July as the part of 27th Bol summer festival.

In Bol, on an open stage in Teatrin „Dva ferala“, every evening, new films of various artists will be presented, with the beginning at 10 PM.

The initiator of the idea and organizer, artist Renata Poljak, each year invites domestic and foreign curators in Bol to bring the film and video as a form of art closer to the audience. This year, films are being presented by international curators Vanina Saracino from Italy, Eternal Network: Victoire Dubruel &Éric Foucault from France, Una Popović from Serbia, Alenka Gregorić from Slovenia and Imma Prieto from Spain.

# 15.07.2016. – Solo exhibition „Partenca“ by Renata Poljak in the Gallery Dešković

# 16.07.2016. – The fifth edition of the festival of video art „ LOVELY DAYS “ is being opened with the film of one of the most interesting artists of the middle generation today; Adrian Paci, at summer cinema Bol. At the opening you can see, among others, his cult film The Column, from 2013., and 35mm film Per Speculum and Centro di permanenza Temporanea that brought him at the top of the international art scene.

# 17.07.2016. – On Sunday, the program starts with a documentary about Ulay, top conceptual artist and longtime partner of Marina Abramović.

# 18.07.2016. – On Monday, the French video scene is coming to Bol, made by French curatorial collective Eternal Network including Bertille Bak, François Curlet, and Franz Höfner.

# 19.07.2016. – Imma Prieto, the curator from Barcelona, presents her research about the art scene in Brazil and forms of resistance which she represents.

# 20.07.2016. – closure of „ LOVELY DAYS “ is reserved for Serbian conceptual video art, presented by the curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, Una Popović.

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website.
