EXHIBITION | Free style
Bol’s artist Ivo Marinelic Cuk presents his new works! Tonight, at 9 pm on Monday, September 9, his new solo exhibition “Free style” opens at the House of Culture gallery. This is the fourth solo exhibition by a painter.
The last exhibition was also in the Bol Cultural Center three years ago when the author was dealing with outer space, while alternating different motifs in new works.
Through an interesting artistic journey of self-exploration in artistic expression, Ivo Marinelic Cuk, although an amateur, shows authentic talent, lucidity and ideas. While in Amsterdam in the 1990s, he attended an evening painting school for two years, citing Perica Doljanin, a well-known painter, long-time art educator in Bol, and director of the Deskovic Gallery, as his first and foremost teacher.
The exhibition remains open until September 30. Admission is free and gallery hours are every day from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
In addition to the opening of the exhibition, there is also another klapa evening tonight along with the KUROJ Bolshevik on the waterfront, which brought and returned the klapa song to the center of the town this summer with spontaneous and relaxed singing at several locations in Bol.
Like during the summer, the KUROJ choir will sing guitars and mandolins, in front of the Tourist Board, around Pumparela and Kroje stairs, in front of the Wine Cellar, as well as in front of the Cultural Center, which will magnify the opening of Ivo Marinelic Cuk’s exhibition.

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!
Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.
BY SEA ///
There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.
First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.
Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!
BY AIR ///
Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač Deluxe, Rent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!
Once you’re on the island, rent a car, use taxis or local transportation. For online booking with discount, click here.
