Festival of the Mediterranean films in Supetar

In Supetar, you get to see the best of the tenth edition of the Festival of the Mediterranean Film Split held in June in Split.

FMFS, in the Supetar Summer Theater, from 1st to 3rd of September brings three feature films and three short films. The films are also featured in Croatian and English subtitles. The screenings start at 9 pm and the ticket price is 20 kuna!

FMFS in Supetar, opens on Friday, September 1, with a brilliant Algerian-French drama “I still hide to smoke“. The movie that has impressed viewers in Split, but also through the Mediterranean Cinema Network, is a story about a single hamam and women who are gathered there daily. A series of great actresses in the Arabian part of the Mediterranean will introduce us to various human destinies and the theme of politics, marriage, love, religion … The movie that will make you laugh and disagree is very hot and the audience is approaching the world close to what I thought Is far away.

The Norwegian humorous drama “S BALKONA” (From the balcony) is scheduled on Saturday 2 nd of September. This is a new film by Norwegian director Ole Giavera, a renowned Kino Mediteran audience with “Yourself”. Everyone who enjoyed the unusual thoughts of our hiker, this time I can look into the life of a director and his family for a year. “Yourself” was fiction, and this movie, albeit similar to the previous one, is extremely intimate, honest, and spicy.

On Sunday, September 3, we will watch the Spanish drama “Incerta Gloria“. This brilliant movie that “raises” cinemas throughout Spain is a story about civil war, two friends clashing on different sides, and one frivolous lady standing between them.

In order to make the festival impression stronger before each feature film, we will look at a short, Croatian film. In Supetar there is a “Shorts” team, namely: the winner of the FMFS “CHRISTMAS” by Kristine Kumrić, then the great movie “ZVIR” by Miroslav Sikavica, who won the prize in Cannes, and for the end animated “JEŽEVA HOUSE” Eve Cvijanović Bring us all together in childhood through this phenomenal adaptation of the literary class of Branko Ćopić.

Enjoy three festive days and look forward to your visit!

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

BY AIR ///

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač DeluxeRent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!
