IMENA | From Bol to the South Pole

Enjoy the new edition of IMENA cultural festival taking place in Bol from June 22nd to 24th, with the them of “from Bol to the South Pole”!

What’s “shooking” us? Among other things on travel, which can be music, culinary, focused on shopping, spiritual or easy mental. Travel opens our eyes, mouth and mind. Some places and some people are a challenge we are ready to visit half the world. About the world, as they watched, experienced and survived – not as tourists, but as researchers, Jasen Boko and Nikolina Uroda, Davor will talk to us Rostuhar, Tanja Mravak, Igor Rajki, musician Amalia Baraona from Portugal and guitarist and clarinetist Dinko Stipaničev. Exhibition in Gallery Dešković, renowned photographer Mario Kučera, will present his interpretation of the trip on the island of Brač.

The morning part of the festival program is already traditional reserved for the Boston Marriage of Pregnant Teace. Mediterranean diet is since 2013 is part of the UNESCO Representative List of Cultural Heritage humanity, and Marenda is an indispensable symbol of Dalmatian cuisine which we revitalize and proudly promote. Bolska taverns and taverns will bring teas with different delicacies, and the gathered will be able to taste the supreme Bolshevik wine Stina. Head of the morning and evening part the program is Day Antunovic.

Places we experience on our travels become our place personal development, which leave a special spell in the memories that we carry our whole life. I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač DeluxeRent a Motorino or M&B rent.
