Kepa sail & bike

Do you want a truly unforgettable end to this summer season that will keep you warm during the cold winter days? Then our new program, which adds sailing to the land, is right for you. From September 24, 2019 to September 27, 2019, the Kepovci invite you to an unforgettable experience, where we will go with strained sails, wind in the hair, complete independence, relaxation and sailing past hidden corners, adding to discovering the beauty of the island of Brač on a bike. This unforgettable experience will combine the love of sailing and the love of discovering the beauties of nature on a bike. With each nautical mile we will admire the blue of the sea, discover the hidden corners of the island, and discover the peculiarities of the island and its cultural history on the bike, thus awakening the exploratory spirit within. And it is precisely the awakening of the exploration spirit and then chatting on a sailboat under a soaring sky that makes life so special.

For cyclists, Brac is certainly one of the most interesting islands as it is quite hilly. The highest peak is Vidova gora, which with its 778 meters above sea level is the highest mountain of all the Adriatic islands. With more than 395 square kilometers, Brac is the largest island of Dalmatia and the third largest island in the Adriatic Sea. It measures about 40 kilometers in length and averages 12 kilometers wide. The coastline is just over 180 kilometers, the length of the longest cycle path leading around Brac. Brac is a total of 25 biking trails of varying degrees of difficulty and for every taste, whether you are a recreational or a professional athlete. And if we combine all this with the fact that the island of Brac is one of the sunniest areas of Dalmatia and that the average summer temperature is 25 degrees, and at the end of September two degrees lower, we get the perfect combination for cycling feats. The starting point for our venture will be for some in the Gulf of Trogir for others and in Split, from where we will head towards the island of Brac, more specifically towards the fishing village of Bobovišče, where our starting point will be for the first cycling venture. We will embark on our first cycling venture the next morning, September 25, 2019. You will be able to decide on a shorter route (approximately 15 km – 20 km) or a longer route (approximately 35 km – 45 km) leading to the next anchor boats. Those who decide to take the shorter route will be awaited at an agreed point by a boat, which will then head forward to the finish line that day. Those who go the long way will cycle to the anchorage of the boat that day. The routes will be set in the same way in the following days, until September 27, 2019, when we will return to the starting marina in the afternoon.

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

BY AIR ///

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač DeluxeRent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!

Once you’re on the island, rent a car, use taxis or local transportation. For online booking with discount, click here.
