Sailing the Croatian dream #2
You will get a chance to adapt to a totally different lifestyle, with 10m² of the boat and 138.600 km² of the sea surrounding you. You will learn about survival on the sea, far away from the traffic noise and populated areas. You will fall asleep under the stars and wake up with the sound of the waves and a gentle summer breeze on your skin. Then you’ll have enough strength to be active the whole day – sailing, swimming, snorkeling, island-hopping and exploring wild nature from dawn till dusk – and that’s when the parties start 😉
Your body will thank you after a week of a healthier lifestyle, constant activity and exploring new things! You will learn how to adapt to a life with less comfort than you’re used to, sharing a small space with your new friends, and becoming even more responsible by sharing duties and responsibilities for “your” boat that you will “own” during one week. If you’re curious about the famous expression “step out of your comfort zone” put into practice, then this is the event you’ve been looking for!
The event is also open to non-AEGEEans so feel free to invite your friends!
So… if you want to experience something different, explore Croatia’s islands and meet new friends…this is the event you’ve been looking for!
-accommodation on a sailboat for 7 days, a skipper and a helper, drinking water, stereo, GPS, nautical charts, port fees, dinghy, the outboard engine including fuel, sheets, blankets, set of towels, final cleaning of the boat, regatta logistics, social programme
What’s not included?
-refundable security deposit for sailboats (upon arrival, approx. 180€; you’ll be refunded a full amount if a boat is not damaged, fuel for the yacht (should be paid at the end of the event, approx. 20€), meals (groceries can be bought before the start of the trip)
If you want to apply as a group, fill in this form. Application period ends on 24th of February.
There’s a **possibility** that you will be able to apply after the 24th but in that case, the prices might be higher. It’s never too early to start planning your summer… and this one you’ll be Sailing the Croatian Dream with AEGEE-Zagreb!

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!
Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.
BY SEA ///
There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.
First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.
Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!
BY AIR ///
Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač Deluxe, Rent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!
Once you’re on the island, rent a car, use taxis or local transportation. For online booking with discount, click here.
All the emergency numbers you might need but we hope you won’t!
