Strka's trail league

Strka’s Trail League for the first time is moving to the islands – in Supetar on the island of Brač. Start will be on Saturday 26.01 at 11 o’clock from Supetar’s waterfront.

PRICE | only 10 HRK. All the proceedings go for the Association of parents of children with dissabilities – Brački pupoljci. (ferry ticket not included)

The track is 5,6 km long with 380 meters of total height and no control points. The track will be marked with trails and signposts so no orientation is necessary. It ends in Donji Humac – therefore, it is not circular. Organized transportation will turn us all back to Supetar.

Also, at the start you can put things in the car that you want to be waiting for you at the finish. Returning to Supetar will be a little snack.

Ferries on the Split – Supetar route and vice versa drive quite often, so by ferry at 9 am from Split, you are comfortably arriving at check – in departures starting at 10:15. The time limit for the race is 1 hour and 45 minutes (during this time the track can be walked). Also, there will be enough time to catch ferries back to Split departing at 14:30 and 15:30.

The trail runs past numerous olive groves and dry stone. At a little more than half the trail you will pass next to the church of Sv. Lucia from the 11th century, where the oldest medieval representation of the ship is located in Croatia. The church is slightly sheltered by vegetation, so a little more attention has to be paid to note. All the time you will have a view of the Brac Channel and the mountains of Kozjak, Mosor, Omiš Dinar and Biokovo.

At the very end, Donji Humac are quarries where one can see one of the symbols of the island – the stone of Brač.

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

BY AIR ///

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač DeluxeRent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!

Once you’re on the island, rent a car, use taxis or local transportation. For online booking with discount, click here.

All the emergency numbers you might need but we hope you won’t!
