Tennis tournament Match Bol Open

In Bol, in the extended weekend of October 5-8, tennis players will enjoy the Match Bol Open tennis tournament. Bol will host tennis tournaments from the HUT TOUR SERIES 1000. HUT, the Croatian Tennis Union, is an umbrella organization of recreational tennis players, which brings together more than 2,000 members from Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, with more than 60 such tournaments on the calendar. per year. The organizer of the competition is the Bol Sports Association with the help of Bluesun sponsored by the Municipality of Bol and the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Bol. The extended weekend at the beginning of October is an ideal time for sports and sightseeing, as it is still warm and swimming, said Tonci Buljan on behalf of the organizers. Tennis athletes travel with their families to such competitions, so the organizers have planned a series of activities for visitors to make their weekend in Bol on Brac more than just tennis.

The official part of the tournament starts on Saturday, October 5, at the Bluesun Tennis Center, where a special surprise is being prepared for all Bolians and Bracans. Guests of the tournament are members of the Oldtimer Club Imotski who will bring 20 oldtimer Mercedes specially decorated for our tournament. It is an opportunity for everyone to come to the tennis center, see the historic vehicles and enjoy the tennis. A sports pub quiz was organized on Saturday night at the Vallum Tavern at the Elaphusa Hotel, to which the locals were invited, with live music and entertainment. The continuation of the tennis competition is on Sunday, October 6th, when all interested in military vehicles will be able to see the interior of the island of Brac. The organizer’s wish is to bring people to Bol first of all to take a break from their jobs, take a break from their daily tasks and play tennis. Hence the official slogan of the tournament – “make a break”. Registration for the tournament is open until Friday, October 4, when the draw will be drawn by age category and schedule will be played. I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

BY AIR ///

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website. If you need transportation from the airport to any other place on the island, may we suggest contacting some of the #bestofbrac service providers, such as Taxi Peša, Brač DeluxeRent a Motorino or M&B rent. Check them out!

Once you’re on the island, rent a car, use taxis or local transportation. For online booking with discount, click here.
