THEATER | Game goes on

Theater “Friend” from Zagreb will perform a play “Game goes on”, on Monday, September 30th, at 11.30, at the cinema in Pučišća.

Grigor Vitez is the originator of modern Croatian children’s poetry. The play Friend will continue to try to show and prove with the play “The Play Continues” that at this time when poetry is less and less read and written, the Knight’s work can still be as interesting and attractive to children as any other children’s play.

Poetry does not belong to the past and at the time of computer games it can still successfully fight for children’s affection. How important it is in the upbringing and education of the child and does not need to be specifically explained.

Poetry is a game, but also a playful realization. The knowledge, rational and emotional, that we receive through it stays in us all our life, it is easier for us to “enter” and harder to forget.

In this sense, the play “The Play Continues” will be an important contribution and a “refresher” for the preschool and school approach of poetry to children. The play also emphasizes the importance of the GAME itself for the development and growth of a child.

As with other living creatures, humans play a preparation for life, and in our time it is completely neglected. Parents are trying desperately to infuse as much “useful” knowledge as possible into childhood, and the cheerful children’s laughter inherent in play is less commonly heard.

Worst of all, the time that is foreseen for the game turns into a solitary stare at the screen. The play continues, affirming a cheerful play in which the child with whatever most ordinary things can be desired.

I really want to visit Brač! How do I do that?!

Brač is an island which can be reached by sea and air. Here are some basics.

BY SEA ///

There are two ferry lines connecting Brač with a land.

First is in Supetar, connecting Brač with Split, and the second is on Sumartin, connecting Brač with Makarska. There is a third port that can be reached by regular local boat lines, and that is Bol, on the south part of the island. Here, you can reach Brač from Split, or from a neighbouring island Hvar. More information about ferry lines and timetables you may find here.

Also, if you own or rent boats, you may just sail into any place on island Brač. We suggest Brač Deluxe for transfers!

BY AIR ///

Brač has its own small airport, situated in the middle of the island. More and more flights are introduced each year, and all the necessary information you may find on the airport’s website.
