5 things to do in case of emergency
It happens. Not so often, but still, it can happen that there’s an emergency, like the weather is bad, while you’re staying on Brač. But don’t worry! Luckily, this island is not all about sun and sea – it has so much more to offer! So, let’s see.
If you haven’t already, take a look at our events calendar. It has the list and description of all the upcoming events on the island, so you can make your plans according to those you prefer. One good thing about local events, among many, is that most of them are completely free of charge, happening in public places, so you won’t have to spend a dime! #2 EXPLORING „HARDER TO REACH“ PARTS OF THE ISLAND
There are a lot of places which you really MUST see, but visiting them during hot summer days would be somewhat exhausting, mostly because they are up on the hill or somewhere inland. Luckily, this is what bad weather days are for!
First of all, you must must must see Blaca monastery! It truly is one-of-a-kind sights, since it is considered to be a part of a desert. So, imagine that, a desert in the middle of the island?!
#3 LEARN SOMETHING
There are a lot of different workshops around the island, even more offseason than during summer. Our choice is the amazing family Jakšić, in Donji Humac, and their even more amazing gallery, full of wonderful art created by the family members, all academically educated artists! Pay them a visit and enjoy their workshops – for example, creating your own one handiwork. Idi & Vidi can help you out with this 😉
#4 GET YOUR GEAR ON
Climbing up the highest peak of Adriatic islands can be much easier during colder summer days. And the effort is definitely worth it! Not only will you be able to see the prettiest Croatian beach from a new perspective, but you’ll also be able to see other islands as well! Contact Milnarski for a safari tour up to the top of Vidova Gora, or rent a quad at Motorino or M&B rent.
Our favorite, of course. And Brač has so much to offer when it comes to food. Not only does it have a long tradition of the fishery, but also meat production, cheese production, olive oil production, and the list goes on and on and on! Browse our selection of the best restaurants on the island and try their specialties!
We hope these ideas and tips will help make your bad weather days into great days on Brač! Let us know what works best for you in case of an emergency! (Okay, okay, we know this isn’t really an emergency, but when it comes to your hard-earned vacation days, it’s important to make the most of them, isn’t it?)
